In strengthening the spirit of togetherness during this
difficult time, JSC Talks returns once again with a relevant topic of
discussion on the Large-Scale Social Collaboration or KSBB. But what is
KSBB? KSBB is an online-based donation platform provided by the Jakarta
Provincial Government for the citizens. All donations on this platform
are sourced from the generous people of Jakarta who volunteered to lend a
hand for fellow citizens. Moderated by Awidya Firdaus Saharini, and
accompanied by guest speakers Rahan Yama Gusta, Head of the System
Development Team as well as Rizky Nuryandi, Senior System Analyst of the
IT Development Division, this week we learned of the method and
mechanisms of donating through the KSBB Platform.
Continuing from last week’s topic, the KSBB Platform is
also one of the features accessible from the corona.jakarta.go.id
website.
How Does KSBB Work?
According to Rahan Yama Gusta’s explanation, KSBB began
with the need for a clear donation target. At times, citizens would want
to donate but aren’t sure where and how they should do it. Through the
KSBB Platform, potential donators could know where their donations are
going before they send them. Choosing a recipient becomes even easier
due to the information displayed in the KSBB Platform. Addresses and the
number of families impacted are shown.
KSBB doesn’t only receive donations in large amounts, it
accepts smaller donations too. Assisted by fund management agencies such
as Baznas DKI Jakarta and Aksi Cepat Tanggap (ACT),
KSBB could pool together donations and cash. Cash donations would be
exchanged for essential food items to be distributed to the recipients.
Next, the pooled resources would be coordinated by the distributor of
funds to be given to prioritized hamlets or institutions.
For example, if you would like to donate a certain amount, your
donations can be managed by a fund management agency, and the
distributor of funds would then find a recipient in need of the
donation. You also could take care of the whole process yourself with no
middleman if you so choose. Through the KSBB Platform, you will receive
the contact information of the donation recipient.
[What makes KSBB program different?]
“One lesson we learned [from developing the KSBB platform]
is that there are still a lot of good people in Jakarta. And I hope that
we are among them,” was the wise words spoken by Rama as he ends his
presentation.
How to Use KSBB Platform in corona.jakarta.go.id
Next, Rizky performs a live tutorial on how to use the KSBB
Platform. As mentioned previously, the KSBB Platform can be accessed
through the corona.jakarta.go.id website under the Collaboration menu.
This menu is further divided into two sub-menus which are About KSBB and
KSBB Platform. In the about page, you could read collaboration
instructions, reference the four types of aid packages, and see contact
info for aggregators or fund management agencies.
To begin the donation process, you must open the KSBB Platform page.
This page contains a digital map of Jakarta, area options to the left,
and the total number of recipients on the right. With these two
features, you can filter your search for a donation recipient based on
area and the number of families living there. To the top right of the
map, there is also a layer button that you could click to show the
locations of prioritized hamlets, orphanages, disability homes, and
nursing homes on the map. Details on each location will also be
displayed once you click on it.
After choosing your recipient, you will be brought to the
commitment form page. Other than filling in personal details and contact
info, you must select which type of aid package you will send. Here,
you should also schedule the delivery of your donation. Lastly, you must
complete a commitment document that can be downloaded straight from
this page. This document will be used to verify the info you have
provided and as a guarantee that you will fulfill the donation. For each
donation sent, you will receive a collaboration ID number that you
could use to check on the progress of your donation.
