Good news for those of you who are waiting for the booster vaccine in Jakarta. Now, a booster shot can be given to the general public free of charge since January 12, 2012. The target for booster vaccination is people aged 18 years and over, with priority on elderly and immunocompromised patients. Giving this booster vaccine can improve body protection against new variants of Covid-19, after the primary vaccination course (first and second dose).

Although registration for booster vaccines has been opened, there are still some who may face obstacles before and during the registration. The following is a summary of solutions to various frequently asked questions regarding booster vaccination registration.

E-Ticket, How Important Is It for Booster Vaccines

The e-ticket is an essential requirement to get the booster vaccine after you get your first and second dose of vaccines. Only residents who already receive their e-ticket can register for the booster vaccine. You can access the e-ticket through the PeduliLindung application.

No E-Ticket After 6 months Since Second Dose

E-tickets are given in stages for residents who have received their primary vaccination course for first and second dose. The support team of PeduliLindung continues to update the e-ticket every day, thus you may check your PeduliLindungi account regularly.

Booster Shot in Jakarta for non-DKI Jakarta ID Card Holders

Both DKI Jakarta and non-DKI Jakarta KTP (ID) holders can register themselves to receive booster vaccines at various health facilities in Jakarta, as long as they have a booster vaccine e-ticket from PeduliLindungi.

Choosing The Right Type of Booster Vaccine

According to the Circular Letter from the Ministry of Health, people with Sinovac as their primary vaccination will receive either a half dose of Pfizer or AstraZeneca. Meanwhile, those with AstraZeneca as their primary vaccine, will be eligible for a half dose of Moderna or Pfizer.

Requirements for Registering a Booster Vaccine via JAKI

To make it easier for you to get booster vaccinations, you can register through the JAKI application. On conditions that you must have an Indonesian ID card, be 18 years old and over, have completed the primary vaccination course for at least 6 months since receiving second dose, and already have an e-ticket on PeduliLindungi. To begin your registration, simply tap "Pendaftaran Vaksinasi Covid-19" banner on the JAKI main page.

The Covid-19 cases are now starting to increase again, so don't let your guard down, stay vigilant, and get more protection with a booster vaccine. Make sure that you also keep obeying health protocols (wearing masks, washing hands, maintaining distance, avoiding crowds, reducing mobility, and avoiding eating together). Also invite your closest people to register for booster vaccines through JAKI. With this super application, you and your loved ones can register for a booster vaccination anytime and anywhere. Make sure you have downloaded JAKI on Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
