Good news! Jakarta Smart City is in collaboration with the Jakarta Health Agency to launch the JakAmbulans feature in the JAKI application. This feature serves to help you contact the Emergency Ambulance (AGD) team more quickly, with just a single touch of a button. So, how does the feature work and how can we contact the ambulance team through JakAmbulans? Find out more in the following article.

Ambulance Request Flow through JakAmbulance

The JakAmbulans feature can be used when you want to ask for help for patients who need emergency aid. This is how to request for an ambulance through JakAmbulans.

1. Open the JAKI application
2. Click “JakAmbulans” menu

3. Allow JAKI to access your location

4. Insert your phone number. Then click “Tetapkan Nomor Handphone”

5. Check the phone number you just entered

6. Push and hold “Darurat” button for 3 seconds

7. Your request for an emergency ambulance is sent

After the request is sent, the emergency team from the Jakarta Health Agency will contact and confirm your report. If the report is confirmed, the ambulance will be immediately deployed to your location. The emergency team will also send proof of the ambulance’s departure through JAKI.

Criteria for Patients

It should be noted that the JakAmbulans service can only be used to request emergency assistance for pre-hospitalized emergency patients with certain criteria. The criteria are as follows.

1. Victims of traffic accident
2. Victims of natural disasters’
3. Victims of criminal cases
4. Victims of fire, or other emergency incidents.

Types of Services

Regardless whether you request the ambulance through JAKI or not, the ambulance service provided by the Jakarta Health Agency includes:

1. Emergency Medical Evacuation: 24 Hours Service from and to the city;
2. Call from home/accident site to hospitals;
3. Evacuation from home to hospitals or between hospitals;
4. Referrals between hospitals;
5. Free service for patients with Jakarta ID Card and Family Register, victims of accidents, demonstrations, fire, riots, and other major events.
