The enforcement of Restrictions on Public Activities (PPKM) Level 3 is extended until September 6. 2021. During the level 3 of PPKM, residents are allowed to have limited face-to-face activities, including to work from office for employees in the essential and critical sectors. After working from home for a long time, obviously there are things that you must get adapted to when returning to work from the office. However, before we get into that, you need to know first about the sectors that now may implement work from the office (WFO) system during PPKM. Let’s take a further look!
Who Can Work from Office During PPKM?
Referring to the Governor’s Decree Number 1055 of 2021, there are several office sectors or industries whose employees are allowed to work from office. Here are the details.
- Essential sector offices/workplaces with a maximum capacity of 50% staff, 25% for administration services for finance and banking, 10% for administrative services for export-oriented industries, and 25% for public services in government.
- Critical sector offices/workplaces with a capacity of 100% staff and 25% for office administration services.
All workers and visitors at the operating workplaces/offices must have been vaccinated, at least with dose 1, and must show a vaccination certificate/digital vaccination status. In addition, the import-export industry, energy sector, logistics, transportation and distribution, food and beverage, fertilizer and petrochemical, cement and building materials, construction, and basic utilities are required to check-in and check-out before entering and leaving the office. All activities operating in each sector must also be carried out by implementing strict health protocols.
Things To Do When Working From Office During Pandemic
For those of you who are starting to return to work from the office, there are several things you need to implement in order to work comfortably and safely during the pandemic.
- Check health regularly
Before leaving for the office, make sure you are not sick. You can use the JakCLM self-assessment feature on the JAKI application to help check the level of your Covid-19 infection risk. If it turns out you are at high risk of contracting the virus, it is strongly recommended for you to work from home.
2. Preparing the JAKI application
In accordance with the regulations applied during PPKM Level 3, residents who get in and out of public places are required to check-in and check-out as well as show a vaccination certificate or digital vaccination status, including at workplaces/office buildings. You can access the Safe Entrance feature on JAKI to check-in or check-out and the “Pendaftaran Vaksinasi Covid-19” feature to show your digital vaccination status.
3. Getting used to office atmosphere
After working from home for some time, you may have gotten used to working in a calmer atmosphere. So, when you return to work from the office, there is a possibility that you will find it more difficult to concentrate. To prevent that from happening, you can slowly adapt yourself to the office atmosphere so you can work comfortably.
4. Obeying health protocols
In the office, you will meet and interact with other people. You will also be exposed to objects that are not necessarily sterile. Therefore, you need to adhere to health protocols more strictly. Don’t forget to wear masks, keep your distance, and wash your hands.
5. Avoid dine with others
One of the agendas that may transmit the virus while working at the office is having lunch together. This is because you and your co-workers will sit near to one another and put off masks for quite a long time. In order for you to avoid virus transmission, don’t eat with other people. You can eat alternately by using your own cutlery.
Those are the things you should do when working from the office. Working from the office in the midst of Covid-19 pandemic is very challenging. However, by implementing proper health protocols, you can prevent yourself from getting infected by the virus. To check the risk of Covid-19 exposure, check-in and check-out at the office, and access digital vaccination status, you can download JAKI on Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
