Important Facts About Covid-19 Vaccines for 18 Years or Above

We have been in the middle of the Covid-19 pandemic for more than a year. Until now, the pandemic is still not over. As of June 16, 2021, active cases in Jakarta reached 20,311 cases. To get closer to herd immunity, the Covid-19 vaccination is very important to do so that this pandemic will soon reach its end.

The Covid-19 vaccination has been taking place in Jakarta until phase 2 for the elderly. Now, phase 3 vaccination for DKI Jakarta residents aged 18 years and over has been opened. Now it's your turn to be vaccinated against Covid-19 to protect yourself, those closest to you, and help suppress the spread of Covid-19.

You can register independently for the Covid-19 vaccination through the JAKI application and the corona.jakarta.go.id website. 

Registration Conditions 

To be able to register for the Covid-19 vaccination, you must ensure the following conditions: 

  1. Aged 18 years and over;

  2. Have a DKI Jakarta Identity Card (KTP) or have a Jakarta domicile certificate from head of RT (Neighbourhood);

  3. In good health as a vaccination recipient.   

How to Register via JAKI or Website

Have you met the conditions above? If you have, make sure you have downloaded JAKI at  Google Play Store or App Store and follow these steps to register for vaccinationI.     
 

  1. Open the JAKI application or visit vaccination menu at corona.jakarta.go.id;

  2. If you choose to register via website, click 'Register' and skip step 3-4 on this guide;

  3. Select Create Account if you are new to JAKI, or login if you already have an account;

  4. In the Jakarta Tanggap Covid-19 feature, select Vaksinasi or tap the Covid-19 vaccination banner at the top part of the main menu;

  5. Enter your Identity Card number and full name to check the vaccination schedule. After that, select Periksa.

 

  1. If the "Not Registered" status appears, immediately press the Register for Covid-19 Vaccination button. If you get a "cannot register" notification, it means that you are not of the prioritized age to get vaccinated. You can wait for the next stage of vaccination. However, if successful, you will find a Covid-19 vaccination registration form that you must complete. 


   

  1. Complete the vaccination registration form by filling in personal data information such as full name according to ID card, address according to ID card, employment status, and others. In the job status option, you can also select the type of work and working area. 

 

  1. In the next stage, you have to choose a vaccination location and vaccination schedule according to the health facilities that still receive the vaccination quota. To make your journey to vaccination site easier, you can choose the location closest to your domicile address.   

If the vaccination quota in the location you selected is full, change the vaccination location according to the health facility that still has the vaccination quota. 

  1. After that, re-check the data you entered and check the box to confirm the validity of your data, then select Kirim. 

   

  1. Done!   

Next, you can do a pre-screening to answer several questions regarding your condition. After that, you just need to wait and keep checking the vaccination schedule through the JAKI application. If you have been scheduled for vaccination, you will get a "Siap Vaksinasi" status and information in the form of the date and location of the vaccination.  

Preparation Before Covid-19 Vaccination 

The best time to carry out the Covid-19 vaccination is as soon as possible. Especially in the current third phase with limited vaccine supplies. However, before being vaccinated against Covid-19, there are several things that you must pay attention to and prepare, such as:

  1. Make sure you are 18 years and over;

  2. Not included in the criteria for the group that should not receive the vaccine;

  3. Register independently through JAKI or web corona.jakarta.go.id;

  4. Prepare your ID card or domicile/work letter if you don't have a Jakarta ID card;

  5. Take care of your health by getting enough rest and eating nutritious food.
