Travel Safer in Jakarta with Jejak Feature

During the pandemic, Jakarta tourist destinations were allowed to operate with limited capacity. Though to prevent the Covid-19 transmission, the limitation  is still not enough. It will require cooperation between the Jakarta Provincial Government, the tourist destinations management, and us, to jointly suppress the rate of Covid-19 transmission. Then, what should we do?

The Jakarta Provincial Government has ordered every tourist destination in Jakarta to record their visitor history, by asking each visitor to fill in a guest book before entering the tourist area. This will help the tracing efforts in the event if new cases of Covid-19 are found in tourist destinations. Through the Jejak feature innovation on JAKI, guest book filling now can be done digitally, faster, and more accurate, to prevent the transmission of cluster-based Covid-19 more effectively.

Help Health Surveillance Efforts in Tourist Places

One of the  Jakarta Provincial Government strategies to handle the Covid-19 transmission cases is by doing the health surveillance efforts with 3T (testing, tracing, treatment). For example, contact tracing will be needed if one of the visitors is confirmed positive for Covid-19. Contact tracing then can be started by tracing people who may have direct contact with the visitor who are confirmed positive for Covid-19, through guest book information at tourist places.

Previously, the guest book filling at tourist destinations didn't always go well. There are times when visitors don’t want to complete the fill in information or even fill in the incorrect information. Data integration also can’t be done easily by manual guest book. To handle this, the guest book filling started to be done digitally through the Jejak feature on the JAKI application.

For now, there are 12 tourist destinations in Jakarta that provide digital guest book services through the Jejak feature on JAKI:

  • Kota Tua Tourist Area

  • Lapangan Banteng

  • Betawi Village

  • Jakarta History Museum

  • Ragunan Zoo

  • Kebaharian Museum

  • Joang 45 Museum

  • Taman Prasasti Museum

  • MH Thamrin Museum

  • Art and Ceramics Museum

  • Wayang Museum

  • Textile Museum

Safe Travel in Jakarta with Jejak

The presence of Jejak provides good news for those of you who want to visit the tourist places in Jakarta and still want to feel safe. Using Jejak is also quite easy. You just need to point your phone camera at the QR code when you arrive at the tourist spot. After a successful scan, your visit will be recorded in the digital guest book and also in the JAKI application. You have to  scan QR codes before and after entering the tourist places.

Beside helping the health surveillance efforts, using Jejak feature can also help monitor the tourist places capacity in Jakarta. This is to prevent excess capacity which can increase the risk of cluster-based Covid-19 transmission. But keep in mind, this effort must be followed by always complying with strict health protocols (wearing masks, washing hand, and maintaining distance) wherever we are and stay at home if you don’t have any urgent need. So, the next time you are about to visit your favourite tourist destination in Jakarta, make sure you fill in the digital guest book using Jejak on JAKI application, to stay safe while traveling in Jakarta. You can download JAKI via Google Play Store or App Store.
