The Covid-19 case in Jakarta has grown rapidly in recent days. If we see from the graph in corona.jakarta.go.id, the surge in cases began to be seen since 17 June 2021 with 4,144 daily new cases. And on 20 June 2021, Covid-19 daily new cases reached 5,582. In the midst of Covid-19 vaccination, the spike in Covid-19 cases became a very serious problem. Especially for those of you who are now preparing to get your vaccine. So, to avoid the spread of Covid-19, you can follow these tips below to stay safe during vaccination.

Register From Home Via JAKI

You can register for vaccination through the JAKI application. That way, you don't have to wait too long at the vaccination site. The registration process is easy because you can fill in personal data from home. Apart from JAKI, you can also register online via corona.jakarta.go.id. If more people register online,  it will help eliminate the risk of long queues and in doing so, minimize the chance of people contracting Covid-19 while waiting in health facilities.

Prepare the Required Documents

If you have registered through JAKI, the next step is to prepare the required documents to be shown to the vaccinators or health officials. Make sure you bring your Jakarta ID card (KTP) or Certificate of Domicile/Certificate of Work in Jakarta for non-Jakarta ID card holders. Keep in mind, the longer you are in a public place, the risk of Covid-19  transmission will also increase. So, make sure you have the required documents at the ready so that the vaccination process runs smoothly and doesn’t take much time.

Get To Know The Registration Flow

It’s better to get to know the registration flow before vaccination. So that when you are at the vaccination site, you know what to do. For now, the vaccination flow has been simplified by the Indonesian Ministry of Health to be more effective and efficient. You can learn it here. In addition, you can also collect as much information as possible about vaccination from official sources such as corona.jakarta.go.id or the JAKI application. This will help you from making interaction or direct contact with other people while at the vaccination centre.

Choose the Nearest Location and Arrive on Time

Vaccination services are carried out in several health facilities. But there are also vaccination services carried out in locations that utilize large areas. To avoid the risk of being exposed to Covid-19 while on your way to the location, choose the nearest vaccination centre from where you live or work. Also, make sure you arrive on time as scheduled to avoid the long queue at the vaccination centre. Remember, you can only choose a location and vaccination schedule if you register online through the JAKI application or corona.jakarta.go.id.

Keep Wearing Mask and Keep Your Distance

When you arrive at a vaccination centre, don't forget to always wear a mask and keep your distance. Also avoid direct contact with other people. Being at a vaccination centre doesn’t mean that you are free from the risk of Covid-19 infection. You also still have to comply with strict health protocols after vaccination, because your body still needs time to form antibody.

Our fight against Covid-19 is still far from over. There are still many people who have to get vaccines and build herd immunity to end the pandemic. During this fight, applying health protocols and staying at home after being vaccinated is still the best way to protect ourselves from Covid-19. So, register yourself for vaccination if you are 18 years and above and meet the criteria as a vaccine recipient. And don’t forget, you can save more time by registering through the JAKI application which can be downloaded on the Google Play Store and App Store.
